Can't find any information. Someone tell me what HP this compressor is? A datasheet on it would rock as well. Thank you so much.

Googled it...

http://www.lge.com/products/component/compressor/aircon/download/r_QAseries/pdf/QA114C.pdf

R22 / mineral oil setup. 7800btu/h so about 2/3HP give or take.

Looks ok, I'd say it's Low to Medium back pressure judging by the spec, should do a nice job :)

You must know how to use google better then I. I think this is gonna make a nice first stage and for a second stage I have this.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7572227847&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

which I already won. Sound good?

Yeah, the bigger rotary should do a great job on the High stage for ya.

I used 1/2HP and 1/3HP for my cascade on R23 and it did a great job :) and that rotary should do a lot better for pulling the temp of the HX down for you.

Don't know the HP on that Tecumseh for sure, but 1/4 to 1/3HP is enough in my eyes.

Cheers

in there it says its "Horse Power 1/4 Refrigerant R-404A"
its a commercial compressor so should work quiet nice there bh2k:toast:

Well some people would say I've been inactive for a bit of time. Others would say I haven't had the money to do this stuff. And others would say I've been playing world of warcraft 12 hours a day and doing nothing else. None, the less I do have some interesting things planned for these compressors, but I'd rather not go in to details as I decieded I'm not going to post anything until I'm finished.

*EDIT

Anyone interested in some more specs on that tecumseh compressors can read this.

Looks to be a nice compressor. I would have been neck deep in hot water if that thing showed up on our doorstep.

Okay I have a question as to where I am plugging in my sides of power.

http://www.brainwashstudios.com/steve/computers/43600002.JPG

Is a pic of my wiring diagram do my 2 sides of power go to the white and the black sides so 1 and 2?

Did you get that relay with the compressor?

C,S,R are the compressor terminals themsleves, and it looks liek that relay is just the cutout for the start cap once it's running.

Is it a problem following the wire map?

I just had a read of it, and while wire maps are never easy to follow, that one's not too bad. Just run the wires, and connections, as it shows on that map one by one and you'll get it wired up no problem. I assume that's a relay that just plugs onto your compressors pins? If so, all you've got to do is wire up the mains power to the relay once it's on, and plug on the overload and start cap if they're separate.

Can you post a pic of the relay, start and overload? Compressor plug too?

I don't see it being that complicated, but it sure would be easier if they sent out compressors with all this stuff set up already and more clearly labelled the connections...

How's that? My question though is where do my sides of power go? Do they go at the one and two points blue wire and half of the start cap come in?

Cool, looks like it's all prewired, and form what I can see it's correct on there.

So all you need to do is wire up your plug or switch so that Common/White is to the no.1 and Live/Black is to the no.2 pins. Same with the fan, just wire it up to the same location with the mains wiring. Everything else on that wire map is already done for you. no. 1 is top left, and no.2 is top right next to the M that's in the middle in case you're not sure.

Should be no problem. just get some spade or hoop connectors and wire it up, and make sure you get that earth connector onto the compressor body as well :toast:
