Hi

Ive just took delivery of a Xp2200 with stepping number 9.

Im currently running it at 11*166 on my Asus A7V8X and temperatures are stable using Heatpipe Cooler.

My problem is using 13.5 as my multiplier i cant get the FSB over 140 without windows coming up with some system hault.

Stepping it down to 12.5 wont go over 150, is there a reason this wont allow me to overclock? or is that the Xp2200 isnt a great overclocker?

Thanks

Welcome to Xtreme!:D

You probably need to relax your ram timings. What kind of ram are you using? Also, what's your voltages like? Tkae the 12.5x150 setting, once it becomes unstable, raise your vcore a small amount and see if that doesn't make it more stable.

cheap generic memory, PC2700, as for the timings i have set them to SPD.

vcore is default 1.65v ive already made it rise to 1.75 but i dont think it was required.

i think its something in the memory, because my old Palomino Xp2000 would hit 1.88Ghz no problem with a 150 FSB
