I was just wondering since my load temps are not high if it will be safe to use up to 1.7vcore.

i'd say so, hell if you can i'd say get the proc going faster. just keep it under 50c

Those CPU's are default Vcore of 1.5 or 1.55 IIRC...so 1.7 is only 0.2V higher....shouldn't be a big issue...expecially if you stay under 50 C :)

1.4 for .90nm chips like his 1.50 for chips like mine (130nm clawhammer)

You're never 100% safe even turning on your computer :p That's not too bad on the voltage, though :)

under 50c should be fine.
i always say, if you can hold your hand on the heatsink then the cpu is fine.
This Appication will tell you your max Core temp the processor will handle.

my Venice is 59c max. I believe the older 64's were 60c or so?
