I have a new Vapochill XE and i dont understand why is temperatures so high. My Opteron is runing at 3000 MHz with WC and now i want to more MHz with my Vapo and this heppend to me. Why:mad:

omfg f**** temps with a DD
hope somebody can help you, i have no idea. very unlikely that a new (as you say) vapo is under-filled...

Hmm have you checked the contact between the evaporator and your CPU? Look at the thermalpaste - you can easily see if it hasn't been in contact with the cpu

yup, looks like bad contact to me... Also bear in mind that XE's are not designed for this kind of load... can you tell us evap temps as well (temperatue shown on the display of the chillcontrol)

i'd say contact is fine.

even with my modded BD50 modded PE temps where getting out of controll when I reached 2700mhz loaded.

these small systems arent designed to handle such a heatload.

Evap temp in full load is -20° C and teh contact is fine.
How many wats in full load can do my Opteron more than p4 3G?

In this test Vapochill XE do a god job. http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NTg2LDQ=

your **overclocked** opteron will put out A LOT more heat than a P4 at 3ghz, these systems aren't designed for much, so just ignore temps and see if your OC improves (you should be able to go further with less volts with any extreme cooling)

How much is a LOT? Do you mean my Opteron 146 put out more heat then P4 3G OC to 3.96G?

I will try OC my Opteron with less volts.

yes...
Less volts is important... the colder the CPU is, the easier it is for electrons to pass through it... For example: I got 1.75ghz on an XP1700 and stock volts, cooled by a mach 1 :toast:

Not 100% sure & im sure someone will know this, but I think i've read somewhere that an Opteron @ 3Ghz is putting out around 180w - 200w?

I spent hours & hours trying to get my BD50 to hold a 3200+ Winchester @ 2700Mhz at any temp. In the end I even put a larger Danfoss 102U compressor on it. Temps improved slightly but still couldnt hold the Winchester temps @ 2700mhz priming.

I would have re-mounted the evap around 10 times with exactly the same results.

So in my opinion theres no way a BD50 compressor can adequately cool overclocked A64 processors :)... unless you made a BD50 cascade :D

I will have better idea on optie heat amount once I mount my single stage on my optie and test it vs my load tester. But FYI, X2 1.73v bios (which seems like 1.75v-1.78v on DMM) 3ghz was only 150-160W.

I had almost same setup... those temps are correct!

Mine idled @ 6C and loaded @ 30C... gave me about 300mHz more than air, though... helped a lOT!

Can you tell me how many RPM have yours compressor?

It isn't the compressor... It's the evap, asetek put so much R&D into the evap and it's just a hollow cap :slapass:

My temp in XE is now much better and I can do 3200 MHz at 1.5V in my Opteron 146.

What about full load temps? Please post the graph of temperatures...

tnx

U have no problem , just the XE cant hold the load of Optie . As they said try 1.4vcore maybe u can overclock more couse the cpu will load at lower temps ..

Those temperatures ane on 1.5V core? What about temps on 1.65V+?
