That's pretty nice Dani. If you have another nice all copper HS with no heatpipes try that instead of the TTBT. I think under 15c the BT doesn't use the gas in the heatpipes as it should. (too cold to goto gas state)

I ask because I have a Opteron 148 being shipping to me from ZZF. I also got me a Thermaltake Big Typhoon coming with it as well. It should fair up pretty well...

I could run Pi1M on 3,1ghz with the boxed-cooler and som cold air, which gave me a load temp between 45 and 50 degrees.. I could boot 3ghz with around 1,4V..

I'm not 100% sure on this as i didn't have solid copper cooler myself to test with but doing the math between 23c ambient and -10c the temps were way higher than you would expect at -10c. IIRC i was seeing 10c idle with 21c load. With 23c ambient (exact same voltages and settings) i would see 25c idle and 38c load so peak at 23c ambient was +16c where as the -10c ambient was +31c above ambient. If the internal diode doesn't perform in a very linear fashion that would explain it by i suspect the gas/gases in the heatpipe coolers just don't work well below 15-20c.

wow that's really the best aircooled opti I've ever seen.
seems to me that the 0540er steppings are awesome clockers sometimes.
saw 3.3GHZ 1m as well in germany with a watercooled system.

you really making me crazy - this is more than I can do with my phase change now....time to get a new processor for me...as long as air coolers have better chips I'm not satisfied with my rig ;)
I simply don't get it why so many ppl reaching 3.2-3.3GHZ on air and water but nobody hits 4GHZ with an opti.
not even 3.8GHZ so far. Bad times for compressorcoolers :(

Yes that chip is sold, because I dont do nothing with it, I dont play games, I have PS2+Gran Turismo 4 for that :D
..but I do always like that, test it and sell forward for good/fair price.
