I see you running it @3.848 in 32M but only 3.7 in 1M, how come?

in 1M we used x14 muiltiplier with highest FSB possible and tight timing.... in 32M averything was more relaxed so bigger frequency was possible.. :)

Memory clocks I would guess. They might also have backups :D

Good job guys, that's one heck of an FX you have!! For the longer tests, I see a few places where you could tighten up your memory timings and maybe gain a second or two. ;)

we got this, but system freezes afther SPI finish so we couldn't grab a screen... and we Run with lower frequency...

principino1984
12-10-2005, 12:42 PM
ok, let me explain to all of you. Giampa & co. finished spi @higher freq but you know...it need a lot of LN2 and as soon as the spi finishes the system gets in idle mode and cause of the cold bug it freezes (you dont even have the time to drop the LN2)!!!
That's why they could get higher freq for the 32mb cause you got the time to drop down the LN2 not to reach the cold bug temp (well you know... the cpu gets much hotter).

I hope you understand now the freq reached for the various spi.

Ya? but I think 21.422 is not really good though, I will let your 21.6x last some more days, if I can't break my own best record 21.422s, I will post the details.;)

I am working on 260x15 with mal/rp--->6ns/2.5ns, tref@100, 15.6mu-s
that result should be faster than 21.422s under my cascade for -67c, ; well , 1m is nothing about stability, I will try 8m, 16m and 32m as well.:p:

Nah, my point is... We couldnt boot at anything colder than -122 on a FX55 clawhammer at netbyte, but we were able to bench at that speed as well... Might be like 5-10 deg C colder, the tube during bench, as a due of CPU load and the heattransfer aint total ;)

3700 isnt a bad start, but your gonna need more. VGA's stock cooled, thats a really good result. Hopefully you'll get close to kinc and lardarse.
