Hi!
My idea has been to move from my high end air cooling to water and finally to phase. Right now I realized that my current air setup is so high end that moving to water wont make much difference except for noise. So...I decided that my next move will be directly to phase IF it is safe (still worry about condensation as it seems is the most problematic issue) and if I can get good performance from a not too expensive and very noob friendly prebuilt kit. I saw a Vapochill that comes already in its case and all and thats a plus.

as far as price versus performance goes, for a noob, i"d get in contact with someone like chilly1 who makes custom single stage units, you'll end up spending around the same price as a prometia or vapochill unit, but you'll get better performance. Otherwise, if price is your biggest concern, build your own after reading a bit.

I really want to buy pre built kit. Even if performance is not as good as a DIY kit...its easier for a noob. Gonna research Chilly1. Dont you like the Vapochill that comes in its own case? I think it costs around $800. If I can spend less than that I will be happy...really dont know which price point gives you best bang for buck.
Shaolin, I am in the same position but decided to do water first, I ordered a Swiftech kit with the Storm block.
It will be interesting to see how us post-air newbies will do on the two roads ahead :)

Shaolin, we have pretty much the same rig (mobo, cpu, gfx card)... Be interesting to see your results :)

yea but DIY kits requires a lot of things, like some expensive tools, knowledge with AC and coolants, plus to be legal you have to take all these certification tests.

Thats why I want something pro built...just ready to use. Are you near Houston?

Chilly1 sells parts as well as pre-assembled and charged systems, Just saying that for "around" the same price, you'll get a better performing and better looking system.

Chilly1s prebuilts will be better than anything a first time builder makes.
A first time builders setups will be better than any Nventiv or Asetek product.

That maybe so, but I have been dissapointed in the PM exchange Ive been having with him, I am sorry to say. Is this a good starter system:
VapoChill Extreme Edition
I dont mine if it does -100 or -15. Any minus will be LOTS better than my current air cooling. :)

Stay away from anything else than the LS from Asetek... Those are just too underpowered for curent CPUs... And IMHO the LS is underpowered too...
