My cooling is watercooling, radiator triple, laing ddc top tank, nexxxos xp
ambient temp : 22°c
desynch 166
everything is stock

max screen @ 1.45

I forgot to validate it through cpu-z.

Nice work so far. I have the same chip seems like you can't miss with this stepping.

You have a very good chip. I had the same one and now misteroadster has it. I didn't think I'd get another 148 as good but I may have. It's a 0540FPBW.

On a Koolance2.:(

If you can get your stepping, most likely it will be a good one. They are right, put some juice to it.:D

dogsx2: you have this opty 148 on this stepping?(cabye 0540fpbw) Never seen before.

When I change to phase this weekend I'll take a picture of it then you won't be able to say that.:D

How does it clock?

2.850 @ 1.425v rock solid on air atm.... I can do 3Ghz with ease but I need to up the vcore a lot and my air cooling doesn't really cut it... :(

Used liquid cooling while OC'ing this cabye 0528 gpmw.

Work keeps interupting meh OC habit. :dammit: :coffee:

Nice results here :D

I tested under watercooling the stability :

On aircooling Pi Bench but not synchro.
Synchro will come tomorrow probably with more volts

more results with more volts tomorrow

Is 2.86 gHz the best you could get stable on air? I have CABYE 0543fpmw 148 Opteron. I can get 2.9 gHz 9 hours+ Prime stable at 1.5V BIOS, but I cannot get 3.0 gHz with any amount of voltage up to 1.68 V in BIOS. I can benchmark up to around 3.12 gHz.

You guys utilize burn in methods?

System Info:
DFI NF4 Ultra D
148 Opteron
PC4000 VX
PC Power and Cooling 510 SLI

Cooling info:
XP90c with AS5, 55 cfm Sanyo fan
~300 cfm case intake airflow
~260 cfm case exhaust air flow

CPU Heatsink fan soon to be replaced with 90mm-120mm adapter and ~100 cfm 120mm Sanyo fan

no, I can get 3ghz with 1.45v on air too prime stable, I didnt test with more volts under aircooling.
I have xp90C with AS5 + Noiseblocker SE2 (92mm)

3 ghz with 1.47v on air :

http://evilrulez1.free.fr/misc/cpu/opteron%20148+%200528%20GPMW/3000-Prime-1.47v.JPG

I will test with 1.50v, more frequency and more stress time..

Thanks, keep the results coming. How long would it Prime at 3.0 gHz on air?
Mine was failing in less than 5 minutes so I have been testing and burning in at 2.95 gHz with minimal results.

eviLRuLeZ, what voltage do you actually have set in the bios?
cpu-z always reports incorrect values for voltage

I don't do to much besides get in and drive.

Mine is at 3.02 on air. I have yet to put it on the Mach II (with BB mods) Hope to see it go much higher =)

jpersinger : I did about 1hr prime 95 on air with the same voltage and then I put it under my watercooling.

Pyr0, just add 0.02v in order to have the bios voltages. for example if It's 1.47v it's 1.49 reported in bios.

I am failing out of Prime near immediately at 3.0 gHz. Currently running at 2.92 gHz, 1.52 V in BIOS which is Prime stable for 14 hours+. I was initially hoping for more, but this isn't to bad I suppose. I think the issue is temperature...it actually primes longer at 1.55 V than it does at higher voltages. I will soon be upping the airflow over the CPU; I may run a duct in from outside to temporarily drop temps and confirm whether or not the primary limiting factor is temp. The IHS may soon be removed, or I may purchase some water cooling equipment depending on post Christmas monetary status. I was looking at piecing together a kit but it seems that this Swiftech H20-220-APEX ULTRA CPU Liquid Cooling Kit has the majority of the components I was going to select. I was going to go with a different rad, maybe even triple 120mm fan, but I may just comprimise for the simplicity of purchasing a kit. I will just be cooling CPU for the time being. What's the concensus opinion on this kit; good for a first attempt at watercooling? Thanks.

You can buy a double radiator to cool only cpu or radiator triple to cool cpu and gfx.
My cpu is cooled by a radiator triple and 3 x 120mm at 5v for noiseless and temp is around +1°c compared to 12v..

It depends on the utility of your config..
Mine is for bench only that's why I didn't need to integrate the radiator in my case..
If I wanted to integrate my config in a case (gigabyte 3d aurora for example) I would take a double radiator.

Concerning your cpu, I think you can get 3 ghz with watercooling but It will be hard to get 3 ghz with aircooling from what you said...

Well the bus is at 291 1:1 whatd ya expect 0's?
BTW the ldt multi never went below 4x. Trying to break it in not RMA tin. Sure this thing can do 3.6 or better with lower temps but...
:( it is gone and I am mounting a differnt one to bench atm.
En4cer took over the throne on that chip and I wish him good fortune.

The logical timmings shown in cpu-z should be 2,5-3-3-6, not 2,5-3-6-3.
