Nope straight air!!! AX7 With a slow fan, this chip runs really cool.
I have to say this is rock solid stable too. I accidently installed WinXP pro at the above settings and have been running this speed with not even a hickup!! I'm seriously impressed with this chip!
Check out my first 3dMark run with my new R9500Pro

Too bad I can't publish it for some reason:rolleyes:
That is the first time I have ever seen 3dmark run all it's tests, it's really quite pretty!:D I finally upgraded my GF2 TI which i could barely get over 5000 marks with.
I am one happy mofo:D

well I just went from a 1700paly to a 1700tbred. If it's overclocking your into, yes, it's dope, but otherwise no performance diff. Of course, I was into overclocking :slobber:

*drool* can't wait for mine to arrive.. :D My ax7 is more than ready to do the job and I'm more than ready to break that 2Ghz personal barrier!!

Well it's been folding all night, temps are still under 40C. I was hoping for 2Ghz out of my 1800 but it just wouldn't do it. I'm going to try for 2.5 tonight.

WD 1200GB Special Edition

Just started watercooling last night. Dont think i have my stuff setup right. Getting a Load Temp of 45c with the 1.9vcore and 2530mhz.
Using a whitewater block.

I got my AIUHB week 51 today, but since I dont have watercooling or fast RAM for that matter, dont expect 2,5 GHz from me. But I can give an indicatin what this chip can do with aircooling (Zalman copper flower at 2500 RPM).
http://users.volja.net/lukaakul/images/AthlonXP2100at2000GHz04fullC.jpg
I'm sure it would go higher, but since my cooling sux. I'm not gonna push it. 2400 for the price of 2100; 50% discount. Not bad a?
My rig is:
Epox 8K3A
512 MB 2100 DDR RAM (2x 256 MB Samsung & Micron) CL2,5 (needs upgrading to 3200, hopefully soon)
Zalman CNPS 6000 Cu (needs an upgrade; BIG Time)
2100+ TbredB (Sweet)
AXDA2100DUT3C F408097250128
AIUHB 0251 XPKW
Brown
MSI GF4Ti4400 128 MB VIVO @4600 (not bad)

Dude, you are at 70c. Thats nuts. Turn that down and buy a good heatsink.
I would go for a SK-7 or a SLK-800

I have 58C at default speed and voltage just surfing the internet. I quess I really do need better cooling :(. Damn but I just hate the noise. Watercooling is just too much for my budget rigth now, but, I hope to get one eventualy.

You can buy a SLK-800 and put a Mechatronics 53CFM fan on it and it will be very quite.
Hey I just got mine This morning And I'm cruising @ 2500 1.85 v 200x12.5.
Right Out of the package.
You just need some fresh air gettin to the Zalman.
Do you have a side vent on your case?
A vent + fan blowing cool fresh air on that flower, prolly knock your temps down at least 5 deg Celsius.
and cutting a vent is WAY cheaper than a SLK-800 :D
My 2100+ is on it's way!!! FedEx better hurry up from Phoenix!! W00t!!!

I think this is as stable as she'll get without running into 2V vcore and I'm not willing to try that yet. I am going to try higher FSB though. This got me a very nice score in 3D Mark 12185!

I have two 8 cm (3 1/8 inches) vents. One is blowing in and anoter one is blowing out. But when I was O/C-ing I had my case open. Case temp from a seperate Temp probe was 24,6 C. I'm not sure the temps this MB gives me are completely correct.
From what I heard the 8K3A is supposed to be reading the on die diode, so this temps should be right, but they do seem high, nontheless. Even a Palomino 1600+ gave me 55C under load. Thats pretty high aint it?
I'll probably get some faster RAM and a Volcano 7+ on monday. Those SLK-800 and the like are just too expensive. I'll rather save for a waterblock :D.

AX7 with YS Tech Adjustable 80mm fan. BTW 8RDA does not read the on die temp it has a diode in the ZIF socket so these temps are prolly a bit higher. Can't wait for my WC setup just too many other hardware upgrades to make which are much more important.

That's AWESOME Dude’s I cant wait when I Upgrade !!!
I will be geting Epox 8RDA+ ,Volcano7+ ,256Mb/3200, 2100xpT-Bred B!!!
Will this setup @ well ?

Man your new gear sounds sweet. I will keep my Epox 8K3A (KT333), but I will have to change from 512MB 2100 to 256MB 3200, and of course I need a new cooler, probably a Volcano 7+. This Zalman Cu Flower in no good for such hot chips.

i would use the Heatpipe like i do with a Silent fan, i got the 6800 rpm fan with it was far to loud, so i got a coolermaster silent fan 3000rpm very good very quiet, Ive now bought a 2800rpm fan and my system is silent and temps are hitting 44Degrees at moment if it rises above 50 ill after put old fan back in.

AtaStrumf:
I don't think Zalman itself is the problem. From what I've heard that thing buggy clip or whatever you call it (the metal thing that keeps the hs on the cpu.) The problem is that the clip gets loose, so you have to bend it back in shape every once in a while to make it "tighter".

You know what, I just noticed that today when I chaned to my other Tbred B. You get 2 of these clips in a package, and I compared the two and the used one was obviously not as straight. It gets bent after a while just like you said, but I didnt bend it back. Will do that at the next heatsink change though.
One very important news I read today in this( .link (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=7926&goto=newpost) ) thread is that the Epox 8K3A has a temp. bug that reads Tbred temps way too high (~18C), so maybe Zalman isn't all that bad for this CPU, but I'll stil get A TT Volcano 7+ first chance I get.
