Only 3.8v i have still 0.2v more to use :p: and to hot outside

Cooled by Big typhoon 1.67v, hard to go over 3.4ghz but maybe when the temps drop more

I think OPB got the WR and its around 296mhz with 4.0v, the temp outside was around -4. The temp will drop to around -24 here soon. The sticks dont like more than 3.83 yet, but after some burning 24/7 with 3.7v i hope they will like it + colder temp outside.
They SPI time was not soo good(sry about the mistake with the image), i got one screen that shows the time @ 293mhz and one on 295mhz ;) "the image with 295 got some bugs, thats why i didnt show it"
293mhz = SPI 28.250
If anyone want to see the 293mhz+295mhz image i will post them later.

It's the jedec reference pcb that doesn't like those higher volts I bet. Jedec is usually only good to around 3.6-3.7, after that you need a brainpower.
Nice results btw, however I think OPB's record is with 2x512MB sticks.

high voltage burnin should help as long as it doesn't kill them :D
296MHz is not that far :toast:

lastviking I'm willing to bet you will be the first to break the 300mhz 2-2-2-5 barrier if the ram goes over 3.8v :D

That would explain why these 512 3500C2's i just got dont like anything more than 3.72V actual :(
Also, just wondering what the relevance of the CPU-Z screeny is, considering its got nothing to do with the RAM that this thread is about (1x512), and is only a suicide shot (at a speed that many people can suicide).
Hm, i might have to give trc 9 a go when i get home on my 2x 256's :D

well i have 2x 256MB XMS3500C2v1.1 and KHX3200K2/512 BH-5 non-BP that handle 3.8+ vdimm fine for 280+ mhz 2-2-2-5 :)

From what I understand actually, some of the KHX BH5, like the later 3200 and the 3500 speeds used a "tweaked" JEDEC reference pcb. Corsair used the same I believe for their PC3500C2 modules with BH5.

What's wrong with your SuperPI score? It so slow with same CPU speed and 3-4-3-5@268mhz ram I make better times without opimizations.
And BTW good clocks:)

What voltage did you require for your CPU to get 3.38GHz? 1.70V?

LOL, all this talk of old 256 sticks got me curious about my pair of Kingstons sitting in the drawer. Threw them on this Ultra-D along with my FX55 (the cpu in my sig) and booted @ this on air:

Not bad, could be better but I'm browsing @ this speed right now. ~1.6Vcore ~3.65Vdd...
