Hi I have a dfi nf4 sli-dr motherboard. When I'm downloading (through nic not moving files from hdd to hdd) files to either of my hardrives the computor starts to "lag" the cpu load jumps upp and down. I first thought that mayby one of my hardrives was in pio-mode instead of dma. But that's not the case. I've tried with both the onboard nics:s and the same thing happens with either one. The can't both be that bad?
I'm almost positive that it has to do with the nic:s on some point.
Im using ms win2k sp4 and currently on N4D623-3 bios, NFref_653_WinXP2K_eng chipset driver from dfi. Marvell_LAN_729 and Nforce_LAN_NDIS_452 for the nics. And the files that came with the cd for the sil3114 onboard raid (softraid 5). 81.85_forceware_winxp2k_english_whql for my gfx.
It's not program related I've tried diffrent type of programsand it's the same thing. Whetver im downloading from friends at lan or on my home internet connection.
Are there any drivers i've forgotten or some i should change?
Incresse chipset voltages? (the volt readings are stable when looked at in ihs) Does it mayby have anything to to with o/c which i though would doubt since i've not pushed on that front.
Or mayby the onboard nics just suck and i should get a pci nic?
