XP64 Trial Install on existing Windows HDD?

Can I install Windows XP64 Trial ontop of my exisitng windows XP HDD? Microsoft wasn't very clear about this...Or will I have to reformat and start new?

have to start new... when i tried ito ut i jsut used partition magic to make a second partition to try it on (so i had a dual boot), when i was happy i reformatted it all and just had x64 :)

You could also get a 2nd hard drive and give it a shot.

I have another drive plugged into my Silicon Image 3114 SATA port , but I can't seem to find a driver that XP64 recognizes...Arghhh, XP64 can't find disk.
