Lost some good hardware today at the fault of a bad PCP&C 510 SLI PSU (which was lost also). Took out my DFI SLI-DR MB for sure...never completes the boot process now. I was also stupid enough to hook the PSU up to another MB for testing (before I knew the PSU was bad, though it was the MB at first) which it promptly also killed (a DFI NF4 Expert). AFAIK the CPU, RAM and video cards were spared but now since I don't have a MB that works I can't even verify that. I swear if this PSU killed my 0516 FX-57 and my pair of GTX 512 cards.....someone is going to pay. This is BS. I turned on the master power switch on the back of the PSU and it was like 4th of July inside my case. At first I thought that the PWM system on the MB was frying itself, it wasn't until later that I found out it was in fact the PCP&C PSU.:( :( :(

Damn, sorry to hear that, not what I would expect from a PC P & C.
:(
Thats horrible. Bet you wont sleep properly till u know for sure about your CPU and SLI either :(
Stocky @ EPUK/DPC has had 3 (!) bad PCP+C 510s...one after the other. Luckily for him, I dont think they took anything else with them
Guess every company has the occasional bad batch :(

Warranty exchange onroute today. Still don't know what happened, speculation is that the choke failed. It certainly was charred inside. I just hope nothing else was lost that I don't know about yet.

Let us know when you get your new parts. I would hate to see that a great cpu, and a pair of 512 gtx's bit the dust.

Wowie. Sorry to hear it Kris.
But IMO very strange that mobos survived and CPU didn`t.
Anyway PC&P has to do some very good explanation...or just repay. But you surely would need good independant expert to clarify that PSU was defective.
Hope you`ll get proper replacement very soon :)
P.S. Kris it seems that those Quadro coolers are lost :( still haven`t received`em. Hopefully this is just a delay - I recently got my VGA which took one and a half months to deliver
can i have the corpse of the CPU? that is if your not going to RMA it

Holy crap, I'm glad your pair of 512 gtx's survived though. But rather have two dead mobo's then a dead good FX-57... Sorry to hear about it man. I lost some stuff in my computerlife too (and that hurt) but never for that kind of money.
