Got some new life out of an old board, Soltek 75Drv5. It's presently Folding with a Tbred A 1800 doing 2 Gigs. Sweetness for $60 some bucks. :D Really nice part is this board wouldn't do more than 147 fsb, 148 x 11 with a tailwind until I flashed the bios tonight, version 1.8. Zip zap zoop, how about 166? Board says SURE. Almost runs TOO damn fast, if you can believe it.

I was getting ready to paint a 15x multiplier in the chip since Folding likes multis more than Fsb when I found out about the new bios in Soltek searches.

I don't think the chip is maxed either. It's aircooled, SLK800. Board maxes at 1.85 volts (presently). Chip is either at 1.8 or 1.85 V now. The install of windows was iffy on this backup box when I tossed it together a few months ago, it's just been a backup Folder so I haven't loaded MBM5 or anything. Have no clue what the temps, voltages, or precise speed is. Just boots at PR 2400+, set for 12x166.

I'm happily surprised. Will be really psyched if it's stable enough for Folding. That's this back-up puppie's job so if it isn't STABLE the speed will be adjusted until it is.

Tweaked!
