I have an Opty 170 CCBWE 0541 TRPMW (crossing my fingers and toes for a decent stepping), along with the new (Infineon chip) Mushkin PC 4000 Redline in the new DFI Expert. I am looking for a starting place, a baseline, to begin tweaking from. Anyone who has the same config and is willing to share bios screens and a64 tweaker shots would be greatly appreciated. Rest of my rig is in my sig.
Thanks,

Well if you are really in that big of a rush, i'd start w/ 250 since that's stock memory, but you really should find CPU max first, and no 0541RPMW aren't that good :( i've went through 3 pairs, although i never really tested them as i usually do on CPU's.

Just start using OCCT, leave the memory low. All CPUs are different so starting using someone elses settings is not really a good way to go about stability testing. Once OCCT can pass start priming, then bring the memory up and tighten timings - I find stability testing a new CPU can take a few weeks so be patient and have fun!! :)

how have yo been through three pairs,,, you mean you would order a 170 and then see what stepping it was and then just sell it or did you test and see with atleast one how far you could push the chip?
I have a 170 opt and DFI expert with crucial ballistix z503 on the way should be here the middle of next week ,,, what is a good stepping for the 170, and how do you check the max CPU speed without raising the ram settings I tried reading the FAQ but couldnt follow it 100%,,, might of just been a bad FAQ

I tried the red's on the expert and gave up. As OPB says , there is some problem with the ce6's and the expert. maybe one of the bioses helps but I gave up and went back to balsitix.

The best so far was week 0530TPWM i believe. I've seen many 0541's and they don't do more than 2.7 @ like 1.6v. To run memory @ low while raising cpu put memory on a 100 mhz divider.

NP, its a CPU overclock stress utility.

And here I thought I'd downloaded all the burn in/torture tests...I must admit, I've also never heard of this utility. I'll try it.
