I looked for compatability w/ software and i can't find any anti virus that are compatible w/ window x64. anybody know of any good antivirus for the x64?

thanks

not sure but if you have another computer on your network to bridge the internet to your 64bit pc, you can use it as a router.
You can also set norton antivirus or nod32 (or whatever ya use) to scan the files on your computer over the network.

If you dont have a pc to do this then you may wanan considder having a second partition with windoes xp sp2 (32bit) and use that for scanning boh that partition and ur x64 partition.

Hope this helps :toast:

NOD32 x64 bit should do the job. It blows norton and most other scanners out of the water.

thanks and the comments did help. I was looking at the Eset wepage and nod32 seems pretty good in writing. I was also looking at avast. what are your thoughts on these two virus scanners? avast is free and i don't know how much nod32 is.

If i have a router do i need a firewall on my PC. i had trend micro internet security before but now that doesn't work. I read that software firewall isn't good.

thanks.

XP's firewall is fine, even behind a NAT router... just setup the exeptions as u need..
