7800GTX
Antec 550W modded
This was achieved using X³, my new cascade, not finished yet (waiting for a better gas for the third stage), evap temp remains around -100C and a thermocouple stuck to the side of the IHS shows -80C
The cascade thread on XS : http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=74204
Original thread on cooling-masters.com (french, but with pics :D) : http://www.cooling-masters.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2950&st=0
This cpu did 4720Mhz box aircooled and 5616Mhz on a single stage :

I hope to find R14 in the next future, that should provide me with ~20C lower temps, I think it should be way enough to break the 6Ghz barrier :)

me and Tycoon tried some ln2 on his 630... and it acts like a cold bug or somthing, when it went too cold we got no post and no nothing.
any idea ?

Byter : I experienced the same thing, no boot when too cold, they're is something like a coldbug, but I saw it on both 630 and 670, I think that's a motherboard issue, it appears when booting for the first time below -85C for me, but doesn't show up when rebooting... that's a bit weird :D
I'm trying to find some methane to pour in my third stage's ethylen, I'm sure it will lower the evap temp by at least 15C, that would be more than I need for the magic 6 :D

like the byter said we tried LN2 to close that 100%
but no success :( (that damn cold bug) i will try some dry ice (it's hotter :) )
mybe it will get me some where , i did 5600 with my singel stage http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=53537
and it look's like my cpu act like your's
any way i'm happy that you past the 5900 and got u'r WR back, you deserves it
keep it up :toast:
btw what is ur best time in super pi with that cpu?

thanks tycoon :toast:
let's keep up with the WR fight, you deserve better than 5600Mhz :)
For now I didn't run any superpi on it, but at 5380, my 670 did 24.4s on exactly the same rig (just exchanged the cpus), I hope to bench over 5500, so I think that with an optimised OS it should reach the 23.xx :)

You can go 22 sek at 5500 M8 ;)
But you have do do better timings. 4-4-4-4 is not fast :(
sub 22 at 56xx Ghz
20 sek at 6000
19 sek at 6400
18 sek at 6800 (64 bit OS)
17 sek at 7200 (64 bit OS) (7210 is 17.98 sek)
and 16 sek is around 76xx (I think)
;)
all fastest Ram timings, and moderat tweak at OS.

Thanks for your help Tom :toast:
unfortunately, I still don't have 5400UL sticks, the best I can get from those ones should be 4.3.3.4 at 400Mhz
I think i'll go for a windows 2k3 64bits for Superpi, do you think that's a good choice ?
I'll also try to find some better sticks, running 3.2.2.4 would be a huge improvement for me :)

Yes try 2k03 64 bit, it work for me, on AMD-FX I have noticed more heat, and lover max oc than on 32 bit. With Intel it's the same Max-OC in 32/64 bit. Then 64 bit is faster, specialy im 8M and 32M
-And as you say, 5400UL is a must

I'll do my best for the benchies, I hope to run 3DMark around 5.3Ghz, that would be quite fun (I'm expecting a GTX512 in the next few days), and maybe 22.xx in SPi 1M
I hope the 670 will start loving extreme coldness, I can get 5070Mhz aircooled with it, but never been higher than 5880, even with the cascade :(

I'm back, been busy benching for days :D
The chip is 3DMark stable up to 5600Mhz for now. (400*14 rocks !)
Results are the following (and will change in the next few days) :
3DMark 05 : 11364 ( http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1552074)
3DMark 03 : 25325 ( http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=4468238 )
3DMark 01 : 39223 ( http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8823962 )
Superpi 1M is OK up to ~5700-5800Mhz, which gives me a 22.672s score.
There's still a lot of work to do, I now aim for sub-22s in SPi1M and 40K in 3D01 :)

Holy $hit man...that's ridiculous...keep going by all means. Myself and the rest of us are already more than astonished...but going for 40k and esSPECIALLY that sub-22s SuperPi is more then a noteworthy task.
