Anyone who would order this card without a single review needs the brain shipped with the BFG card.

No offense MickyMouse. :toast:

and its worth 400 dollars? what happeneds if its not oc'able? what happeneds if it doesnt do 17k?

You guys dont know anything yet. per-order is the worse gamble in computing. worse then hopeing for a good Stepping cpu IMO.

id wait till someone tests the card officaly.

well im sure the card is going to be the fastest card out there i mean come on i doubt nvidia would make you waight this long for a card thats not marginably faster than a 9700pro.

think about it the core is more efichent than the gf4 core and almost twice as fast then the ghz ram omg i mean think about a gf4 with that clock speed then add in the fact that its a new core with new instructions and more efficient that a gf4 it will rock and be just as mutch worth the 400 dollars as the9700 was when it came out.

and the fact that its a bfg means nothing nvidia is macking at least the first batch themselvs to insure quality. yes this card will rock and after that the r350 will rock then the nv31 will rock and so on and so on

Its not that much of a risk, performance wise I mean .... even if it loses a little bit of ground to the 9700 pro clock for clock, it STARTS OFF at 500 MHz core and 1 GHz DDR-II memory... even if it overclocks badly, with extreme cooling that core WILL pass 600 MHz (god knows how far it will eventually go) and the memory... dunno. But it will beat all our radeons that shouldnt be the problem. The danger I see in this is pre-ordering now and actually getting your card when they're commonly available and benching for 2 weeks already

Maximum PC had the first benchmarks with some really unpolished drivers in their last issue. It beat the 9700pro in everything at 2XAA except 3DMark Game 4. Wish I remembered what the other benches were. Obviously the standard Quake, Unreal, 3DMark, but I forget the exact scores. Will edit my post with the info if you are all interested.

*Edit* well, if you are interested or not here it is:p

all tests at 1600x1200 2XAA, tested on alien ware prototype system:

Quake 3 Demo 001
GeForce FX: 209 fps
Radeon P70 Pro: 147 fps

UT 2003 Asbestos
Geforce FX: 140 fps
Radeon 9700 Pro: 119 fps

3DMark Game 4 (Nature)
GeForce FX: 41 fps
Radeon 9700 Pro: 45 fps

Well there you go. First GeForce FX benches. Not bad, but would have liked better on Game 4.

id wait till someone tests the card officaly. I go with dissolved, from what i've heard in preview was that it was faster than a radeon9700 but not by that much (at least lower than what nvidia claims). Anyway i don't have the money to buy either of the card :(

well you could easy sell your leadtek ti4400 @ ebay for more then 220 $ and i did see alotta radeon 9700 cards that sell for 280.
btw so did i 8) i sold my ti4200 for 190 and get my new sappire 9500pro for 195, not bad though

I bought my leadtek at 240€, so i don't know if i can sell it for 220€ on ebay. Even if i could i wouldn't do it because i usually give my bro my old hardware and he sometimes helps me when i want to buy new stuff for my comp.
I'm still happy with my card, i can play most of the games at max settings without problem and i'm not much of a benchmarking guy
