Very poor X850XTPE overclocks

I got my AGP x850 recently, and im having just terrible overclocks. I have to have the stock fan at 100% speed just to obtain 570/600 from default 540/587. Is there anyway I can try to improve my overclock w/o buying a new cooler?

If you've not already taken the stock sink off and replaced the factory thermal paste with some AS5, then I'd suggest that.

But for any more than that may offer, time to upgrade the cooler.
