Me and my friend (Tianyu) managed to run opteron 146 ( CABYE 0540FPBW) with DI @ 3637 MHz and yes there was a cold bug :stick:

We kept temp below -30 C using only some aseton,DI and we kept the CPU usage 100% during the overcloking.

Here is the SuperPI 8m run @ 3637 MHz Opty : :toast:

When did it start coldbuging?

Immediately when we booted up in windows, mobo freezed after 10sec without any stress to cpu.Bios temp was around -34 then.Unfortunately me and my friend dont owe digital thermometer so it's hard to say when it start to cold bugging.

But everything was under control when we guessed to stress the cpu 100% all the time :D

It was really hard to get screenie because immediately when SuperPI finished mobo freezed  It took almous 1h to get screenie.

nice chip, to avoid that problem run something on the back al really low priority so super pi doesnt get bothered and after it ends the other process get the cpu usage that way you dont freeze

Something like folding@home would work correct? If you set it to the lowest priority. It might slow your super pi by a couple hundreths thoug.

AWESOME chip! :toast: 8m at that speed is great to! 3.6ghz was my max on DI with a better tube and more volts and it was only 1m stable.
