View Full Version : X1800 XL Voltmod Needed !!!

My X1800 XL is bugged ( Again ) this is the second sapphire i have got. First one did 1.2v max. This one only likes 1.125v on the core :slapass: :slapass: :slapass: :slapass: .

I don't trust that power regulator anymore. So i whant to try a hard mod go try end get past that 1.2v.

But i guess no one is in need of a mod so there will be none. ?

If you can post some pictures of the card I'll help you look for some mods.
If you can wait about a month, I'll find some mods for the card myself and post them :)

Can you get a close up picture of the area I've circled. Could you also get a close up picture of the other size of the card, becasue there looks like there might be something else there too.

I couldn't find much information about many of those chips :(. Could you tell me whats written on the chips I've marked on the attached picture please.

I think that the VT1103MF is probably a voltage regulator. It is made by a company called 'volterra', but I don't think I'm going to be able to access the datasheet without signing some sort of NDA :(

Ah ok. I could be. The X1800 voltages can be ajusted by software. They are not fixed anymore. SO i think volmods are gonna be hard.

A other option is a X1800 256 MB XT bios. But no one has it everybody is buying that 512 mb version.

I've emailed them requesting the datasheet, but I doubt I will get any response. I think Fugger has/had flashed his X1800XL with an XT BIOS, but I don't know what benefit it had.
