Hi!

I'm new to the forum and I've decided to make a chiller using an a/c unit. Like I said, I am totally new to all of this so any advice/guideance or help you can give me, I will definitely appreciate!!! The unit that im going to use is just like the one shown in the link ACUNIT (http://www.homedepot.com/prel80HDUS/EN_US/diy_main/pg_diy.jsp?keyword=window+airconditioner&CNTTYPE=PROD_META&x=0&y=0&com.broadvision.session.new=Yes&N=2984&CNTKEY=misc%2fsearchResults.jsp)

My first question is, Is this unit suitable to make into a chiller?

Thanks!
bobby

I think this link works. It should take you to a home depot description of the exact unit. Any thoughts please???? AC Unit (http://www.homedepot.com/prel80HDUS/EN_US/diy_main/pg_diy.jsp?keyword=window+airconditioner&CNTTYPE=PROD_META&x=0&y=0&MID=9876&com.broadvision.session.new=Yes&N=2984&CNTKEY=misc%2fsearchResults.jsp)

its the 10,000 BTU unit for 188.00

Thanks!

Thats probably a 1/2hp compressor in that. Thats alot. You'll get good cooling with that.

Read the stickies above, most all the info you need is in there.
