iam having this problem for over 2 weeks and i didnt find a solution,,the problem is i get dissconnected from the Internet Every 2 or 3 hours for no reason , i only running MSN Messenger , nothing els is running with it,,,iam getting Crazy here because of it,,

i even called my friend and asked him if he have the same problems but he said everything is cool with him,,,,

why iam having this problem

OS = Win Xp pro Sp2 ( latest update )
modem ADSL = Aztec 206

Please help?

I have the same problem ocassionaly. I've just deemed it poor cable signal quality.

I used to get disconnected all the time and have to restart to get my net connection back. It turns out it was my firewall. Add the DNS server to your trusted internet zone.

i add a DNS server but iam still getting the disconnecting problem :( .... does reinstalling fresh copy of xp sp2 will solve my problem or must change the modem to a new one ??
