I have a very irritating problem with my laptop. It cant locate, or connect to my wlan. All other computers in the house dont have that problem. I have tried connecting with other laptops, and they had no problems.

So I figured out that the problem is in this specific laptop.
Its an Acer 3023WLMi running WinXP Home with SP2.
The built in wlan card is a Broadcom 802.11g.
My router is a Linksys WRT54G.

I think I have read something somewhere a long time ago, about the factory driver for that specifik wlan card, giving problems connecting to some wlans.

Any idea?

Are you using XP's wireless zero service or configuring manually?

Windows XP's wireless zero service can't find anything at all, so I'm using the program bundled with the wlan card.

In this moment, I have just updated the firmware in the Router, but my sister has taken the laptop along to her school so a few days will pass before I can test it again..
