Win xp passwords help

Im trying to get the admin password from a XP box. my best friend is getting divorced and his wife will not give him the admin password so he can install and uninstall programs. he thinks there may be things on the puter that his wife does not want him to see also.


anyone know how to recover it or maybe a program that will do it from either a disk or from one of the other profiles within?

To my knowledge, the only way to pull it off would be if that profile doesnt have admin rights. Then when inside an admin profile, you should be able to edit the password I think.
If it has admin privies though, you will have to find something to actually hack it. i.e. pretty much pooched.

Make it a slave on someone elses computer, pretty sure you can get in that way...
