Ok... so I am seriously new to overclocking. I have an idea of what to do, but I am hitting a brick wall. My system is a KT4 Ultra mobo, R9700 pro, Xp2100 Tbred B, 512 Samsung 2100 RAM, etc. The mobo doesn't give me multiplier control so at the moment I am stuck with the stock 13 multiplier. I was able to push the FSB up to 140 and it will boot. Any higher than that it will not boot. At 140, I booted and went into the bios to find garbled characters all over the screen. What is going on? My goal is to get to 166, and from what I understand my memory should be able to take me there. Any ideas?

On a tip from KnightElite I jumped the FSB straight up to 166, raised the Vcore to 1.7, and the memory voltage up to 2.6. It booted straight into windows with no problems whatsoever. Just finished a 3dmark benchmark and scored 12953. This is about an 1100 point increase from the stock speed. It is sitting at 2171 mhz right now.

man something is hosed if that's all your scoring in 3dmark unless you have AA on or AF maxed too. you should be at 14-16k I would think
