I did a search and found a few posts on this refrigerant. I have access to alot of this stuff. Would it be a good refrigerant for my chiller I'm building? Specs say -40 Would it do as well as R290

Umm, gotta link to MSDS? If the boil point is -40c, then thats ~ the same as Propane, so Im not sure its an upgrade unless it condenses at a lower pressure, which can help.

Duponts site says -31c boil point. The PT chart looks pretty good. Has the same pressures as R134a, but with a better BP. Propane still has a lower BP though, but has higher pressures. This would be a great R12/R134a replacment, not sure it's better than propane or the R40x/R507 class refrigerants. The lower pressures make it good for a smaller condenser system or where there are high ambient temps.
If you have access to it, go for it.
