You can, but must have two things to do this successfully.

Both cards are recommended two have same bios and use
80.xx or later drivers.

I been fooling around with my XFX and eVGA 7800gtx 512mb cards in sli
and have noticed no drop in performance or conflicting issues
using the different OEM makes.
My drivers used are 81.94 and both my cards are flashed to same identical bios, that I modified for the 512mb series gtx cards. :)

Cool thanx for the fast response...so I could just flash a evga card with the xfx bios on my card and it will work fine? Does it(bios) need to be modified to work on the diff brand card?

Yes, just keep everything indentical to other bios your using.
These bios are all pretty much generic, no special modifying really
needed to work on other OEM makes.
Just double check that both bios have indentical boot settings, timings ,
temp monitoring selections and clk rates same and your gtg.

I assume your using Nibitor or Nvidia bios modifier right ??
