Hi guys

i've got a problem with my new setup.........

DFI NF4 EXPERT
Opteron 165 Dual Core
G.Skill LE 1GB TCCD
Enermax 535 EPS PSU

if i boot to memtest...it will crash/reboot as soon as the first line hits 100%

i tried both orange and yellow slots and played with RAM settings...nothing

i also tried booting with one stick...mobo doesn't like it.....tried booting with one stick of different RAM.....mobo doesn't like it...beeps

i also noticed when i power it down with the switch it will not power up again....i need to flip the on and off button on the PSU and then power switch to get it going ............

i've cleared cmos numberous times, even battery out, i've set RAM dividers low, changed vdimm, changed most options to actual value in RAM timings and also all to auto.....used SPD, disabled thermal throttling, unplugged two drives and just left one in Sata5 port on silicone controller......it seems like it's a RAM issue but not sure what else to try

any ideas guys....i'm spent

Haven't tried my 175 yet, so if it's a DC problem, I won't be able to help til I'm done messing with my 148. What I can tell you is that my G.Skills are much happier with driving/data strength at 5/1 than with anything else. This setting has got me up to 300x10 prime stable. Will be shooting higher today. Also, obviously try various combinations of MAL/Read Preamble from 8/5.5 and up.
