Just got Opteron 175, what OC can I expect?

Going to be water cooled, G5 Storm and stuff. I ordered my SLI-DR Expert but it hasnt shipped yet, supposed to go out today, but I probably wont get to play with anything til next weekend.

How well do guys think it will do?

Really? I've seen a few 170's getting 2.8-2.9.
Edit: That is, with the same stepping and on air. So I wouldnt think 2.9-3.0 would be too far of a stretch with water. I know it all comes down to luck so we'll see though.

Simple question: why ask for advice when you're going to try to correct the info you're given?

Anyway, I say 2.8GHz won't be dual prime stable for you, even with your cooling. BTW, 3GHz is DEFINITELY a too far of a stretch for water, even for the great steppings. (mind you, I'm talking about 170s, not FX60s, 180s or 185s here)

sorry I guess I should've been more specific along with the rest of us, 2.7 to 2.8 based on the week and stepping....CCBWE 0534 = 2.6 on air 2.7 mayb 2.8 on water
CCBWE 0530 = 2.8 to 2.9 on air and 2.9 + on water

I wasnt trying to correct the info I was given. I was simply stating what I have seen with some other opteron's, but I guess those results really werent valid as I didnt fully understand how everyone judges the stepping. I thought the first 5 letters is all that mattered: i.e. CCBWE, CABNE, etc. I didnt know the week and the 4 letters after it meant much.

Anyone know some links to some of the 0534SPMW results?

Looked up some results for the 0534SPMW in the Official DC Opteron OCing Thread. You guys are right, most do around 2.7-2.8. I saw 1 or 2 that did a little better. If I get 2.8 I'll be happy, was hoping to finally have a 3.0ghz cpu but alas, it will have to wait til next system :(

I'll post my results as soon as I get the system up and running. Thanks for the replies.

Ive got 2.... both 2805mhz@1.63-5volts 6hours prime stable but any faster and becomes unstable.
