OK, i changed over from the rig in my sig to a A64 3000+ and a dfi ultra-d.

Windows is crashing all the time at stock speeds (this is the second time im posting - the 1st time, my pc froze mid way through)

I need help. i think it may be a bad CPU. memtest gives errors at 2-4-4-7 at 200 MHz and has been tested on my previous rig to be 60+ hours memtest stable at 2-3-3-6 at 225 MHz. Its actually DDR500 at 2.5-4-4-7. but booting at 300 x 6 with a 5/6 divider (ddr500) wont even reach the win xp welcome screen.

I need help. Im sure its not the ram. ive also reseated the NB cooler, so its not that either.

The codes on the CPU are LBBLE 0520 CPAW

Im getting freezes at 200 x 9 at 2.5-4-4-7 (stock speeds) as well. It stays on for like only 15 minutes before going nuts.

also, according to spd, my ram is 2-4-4-7 instead of 2.5-4-4-7.

Please help me :(

welcome to the frustrating world of dfi nforce4, try setting the memory manuelly to 2.5-4-4-7 in the bios. you will also see tons of other settings as well. They all make changes in good and bad ways depending on ram. I hate to say it but trail and error is really the only way. what bios are you running?

the 6/23/2005 one. Ive manually set the timings to 2.5-4-4-7, and it froze again after typig this. I regret changing over now.
