Card clocks were adjusted for a few tests, 850/880 or so
Daily gamer in my sig. I left off at 39,366 on the XL.
Horrible CL crashed rerunning that test.
Running other tests now, had to share.

awesome work, i know how hard getting good '01 scores is with netburst.
your car high is beating my 7800GTX run @ 5.5ghz by over 6fps... X1800 is much better at '01 for sure.
congrats... less than 200 points to 41k... and with a cascade and another ghz or two those AMD guys might have to watch their backs at the top...

what cooling was on the xt?
my xl on air got to around 690/800 ish, would hit around 9300 with a 2.5Ghz x2. the Xt at 700/800 and only like 100Mhz higher cpu hit 9800 or so. dunno if the xt has tighter mem timings or something, score difference seems overly large for small differences.
the xt didn't seem to like higher mem/core, tried both would lock up , didn't play long though, more voltage might be the key. that's on stock cooling though, 10k stock cooled should be possible with bit more cpu speed.

hmm, never really considered the ram, figured 3dmark wouldn't break 256mb as most reviews show almost no diff at all in the newest games, or not much, from this review http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2607&p=10
at stupid high res theres very little difference between the cards. though its not a perfect comparison as they can't tell exact clocks during testing when you underclock a card. then again, ati had that issue with first 256mb cards and them not using the extra mem for a good few driver releases. maybe newer drivers will show a bigger diff in the future.

Taking down a landmark! This leaves me wondering what a i975X board with one of those 7GHz+ 32M-stable 670's and two X1800XT's could accomplish!

drunkenmaster,
512mb performs better than 256mb clock for clock, i just can't find the word for it.. grr that's annoying, someone, please fill me in...
