Awesome card, what more can I say.
Gearing up for some nitro'd 3d. Some quick runs with some beautiful 35F michigan air with stock coolers :) This card looks to be a killer, just hope it likes the cold:

These scores were not difficult at all. Pretty much out of the box setup for 780m, p4g and gtx512 with some nice cold air. Got the card modded up and ready for some ln2 later

Thanx alot everyone! The card is freeking unbelievable Kinc. The cold bug is nothing like it was on 256 gtx's on this card. Thank you nvidia, I got what I paid for finally. This was done with around -60c avg temps, but it can go colder :)
Funny thing is, this retail dothan chip is giving me cold bug still around -150c..lol if you call -150c a cold bug. It's making it unusually difficult to push this chip so I will have to rely on bus speed. 270+ and 3800mhz maybe with more work. I made it to the ln2 depot 1 minute before close to load up for the weekend, so once my dewar pressurizes, I'm good to go again.

We got ourselfs a 780 too, quick test it with ln² and the screen we got was 3800Mhz, but we ran superpi at 3900 and crashed at 3950.(1.82V)

These cards are insanely fast...1280x1024 4x TRSSAA and gamma correct...no problems whatsoever in Call of Duty 2, everything maxed...

I got nice new program to try out with the 915 chipset tonight.
It could improve the lobbies and cars some.
At 270x14 with a p4c800, that lh would be 250+ and ch would be well over 200fps. I'll play around with it in a bit and post up some results.

The program is 915 tweaker. Frank the creator of cpuz and clockgen made it.
Saaya hooked it up. Very nice tool for changing timings in windows like all the rest of the other similar programs. I already run my ram and settings as tight as they can go, so I didn't get any substantial improvement in times using it, more time with it might yield something. Still very handy for changing timings on the fly though...for example when pushing up over 270 for instance, it's nice to to be able to loosen some settings right there for higher fsb without having to reboot.

My 780 retail chip at 272x14 pulls as much cpu power as an es at 4ghz+ with 17x. Unless I can get 4050+ for 3d out of the ES I have coming from saaya, the retail chip is a better option at this point for 3d. 275x14 on a dothan is unreal in terms of cpu power.

Here is a nice screenie on the way to some ridiculous card clocks for 01' :). I hope the card can do the same for 03 and 05. We'll see later.

Of course what I said above only applies if the ES's still have difficulties with lower than 17x over 3300mhz like the es I have here does and the ones all my japanese idols were using. If the new ES's arent multi limited when scaling, then we can start talking about seeing some 3d possibly at 270x15 :P lol.

Most of my best runs still have slower cpu speed than I would like, especially 03 and 05. I can't exactly run full throttle on this chip consistently enough to be fully 3d benchable above 3820 or so. It locks randomly on me at temps below -150c. It's still a screamer and got the job done. Imagine what a dothan at close to 4ghz with high bus speed could achieve in 01'... 52k+ no doubt. When I get the new revision es chip from saaya this week, things could get interesting in 03' too, where the dothan throws it's weight around well. Macci has the skills and hardware to take the single card 01' WR, so I can't rest easy on my best 01' just yet. It is still about cpu power for single vga 01'.

Because SLI wont work under win2k and SLI eats extra cpu power, one 7800gtx is actually faster! SLI does shine in nature by a couple hundred fps(not close to double still) but loses badly in every other test!

You are comparing one GTX 512 with two GTX 256 cards. If you were running GTX 512 cards in SLI, the extra 500MHz of memory speed on both cards could make a difference.

Yes they are better in 01SE, as is the GTX 512, but the ORB doesn't take them i yet, or at least since i looked there the last time :)

I'm taking this as a sign, so I will take 3d01 on singelcarded instead. I have my hopes with win2k+dx8. Win2k seems to give a boost in cpu clock also. Maybe I can get the 14x multipel working with the Expert board. I know that FX has little to say against dothan, but I will give it a try.

Me too, I ran my XFX 512mb's in SLI at 641/1920 with my FX-57 and was ready for a big score and got.... 44k... WTF??? Gonna do some single card too but of course not up to the double K standards ;)

it doesnt matter, everyone knows SLI sucks in 2001, its slower in 6 out of 7 tests and to add insult, it doesnt work on win2k! I think single card is the way to go in 2001 since its so cpu dependant!
