I read your first thread and this one and can't make up any sense out of what you need.
If you have 2GB, then BF will use that extra memory and not swap with HDD as it used to do when you had 1GB. With 4GB same thing, although Windows XP 32-bit will only see 3GB at the most (after adding /3GB switch in boot.ini) and use only up to 2GB per process. You will need XP 64-bit to fully take advantage of all of your 4GB of memory.

In other words I have no idea what you really are trying to acomplish

BTW, thread is moved...

Xtreme Overclocking section is not even close to the place where your thread should be. You cannot post in XOC only because you think traffic is higher there. Threads need to be started in designated areas that were created. Asking to not move your thread is not gonna change this fact. Read the Forum Rules as I think you are not familiar with them enough. There is no further discussion about it.

Now, back on topic...? Why would you need a Ramdrive? That is the part I do not understand? You seem to not understand what it actually is. Every application in WinXP 32-bit can utilize up to 2GB (3GB with a certain modification to boot.ini but for it to work app needs to be able to be aware of extra 1GB address space). BF utilizes more than 1GB. If you do not have more than 1GB RAM it will "borrow" that extra 250MB from your HDD. With 2GB or 4GB RAM it will not be doing that and use that extra 1GB RAM instead. you do not have to do anything for BF to do that. Ramdrive is a totally different animal, though.
