Hello! I am new to this folding, but decided to join two days ago. Seems like a good idea to help out as I don't use to much processing power :p:

I just have a few questions, is points decided on pure Mhz? I thought I read somewhere that it doesnt matter what your FSB is but pure Mhz. If this is true I was gonna set my AMD 2500+ (Running now at 2.2Ghz 3200+ speed) to it's orginal FSB speed (166Mhz) and kick the multiplier up a bit and get my best Mhz possible that's prime stable (Should be able to push 2.4).

Also, I am planning to put two of my other computers to work too! They are my family's computers which only are being used to web browse, but I don't want them to be able to mess it up so all I would have to do is download the "one click install" and it will install as a service and after I configure it, it will count towards the team right?

Thanks! Happy folding :toast:

Hi and welcome to the team :toast:

Generally speaking its raw megahertz that count, but there probably isnt a lot in it. On Intel and QMD units a get slightly better results by lowering raw speed and running tighter timings, but on your AMD rig/rigs it shouldnt matter.

John.

AFAIK, F@H likes memory through put, so higher FSB is better, points have nothing to do with work time, it's based om the project.
