system details:

crucial ballistix 1GB (2x512) pc4000 DDR
3800+ X2
ultra -d mobo
650w silverstone psu
6800GT GPU
2x36GB raptor drives (not raided)
XP-120 + delta 120mm fan
in a stacker case

i took the quick road to begin with using a windows prog to o/c and the pc rebooted itself. had to reghost my OS back on since it was trashed. lesson learned

followed the DFI-street O/C guide and dumped my ram to half its speed basically
set the CPU multi to 10
set the HTT multi to 3x
changed my fsb to 220

CPU voltage to 1.5 (although shows as 1.45 in smartguardian???)
CPU VID thingy left to auto - after an hour under load - temps are 38C

boots fine, loads windows fine, does all fine. ran OCCT test on each core, no probs but if i run superpi then the 2nd core gives errors within a few seconds, but the first is fine.

apart from superpi, i dont have any probs with it running like this at the moment. prime runs fine as well.

has been on like this (just to test fully) for 48 hrs now, folding and doing video encoding. not a single fault

could superpi just not be working for me?

Did you run memtest on both sticks? krille had a semi-similar problem with Prime, seems his culprit is a bad stick.

yep, ran memtest on both sticks for over 24 hrs, not a single fault.

weird huh?

trying again and running fine at 240x10. stable as anything, but core 2 still fails on superPI. all other tests are still fine???

just ran memtest for windows and that finds 0 errors as well. this is just weird.

:woot: now @ 2.7GHz

left running SnM overnight hitting both cores as well as letting superPI to the 32m test. 9 hrs later, still running. only 38C as well after all that.
