I decided to retest my FX-57 cpu on Corsair Hydrocool 200EX to compare with original results with my MCW6002/G4 Storm water cooling DIY loop at http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=974.

As you could see in my Opteron 146 adventures thread (http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=1594), apparently my Cathar/Swiftech G4 Storm water cooling loop was apparently flawed. So i switched to my back up, Corsair Hydrocool 200EX external water cooling unit. There is definitely an improvement in max stable clocks on my Corsair Hydrocool 200EX for each cpu i tried compared to my flawed G4 Storm water cooling loop.

Info

- Max I could do on G4 Storm water cooling setup was 3090-3105mhz at 1.62-1.664v and that took literally 2 or 3 dozen water block remounts to get right pressure contact.

- Max I could do on Swiftech MCW6002 water cooling setup (exact same as G4 Storm setup just different water block) was 3105-3120mhz at 1.6-1.65v

- Today plucked FX-57 back in with Corsair Hydrocool 200EX and less than 12hrs since AS5 was applied i dialed up 3105mhz at 1.6v and so far so good.

Here's untweaked run just to see where the FX-57 cpu is at on Corsair Hydrocool 200EX. Dinos your wish has been granted seeing FX-57 on Hydrocool :)

Room temp = 29.6C to 30.8C
CPU idle = 40-42C
CPU load = 52-55C

Corsair Hydrocool 200EX is one very under estimated water cooling kit!

It's hard to get "hot" cpu here...i'll receive my opty 144 and 146 when you'll sell your "old" dual cores opty  :(

Eva how many stormblocks you had?

Maybe you just got a bad one?????

Did you ask Cather?

Your temps are not good at all for watercooling. The storm, assuming you had a decent pump and radiator along with it, should load around 8-10c less than that.

3.1 @ 1.6v is just not right.
Any better cooling to test?
I don't think 0516's did too good on air/water.
