Hi!
Since I had troubles connecting to internet this morning I check my router log and I found a lot of messages like this one:
*** SYN Flood ,(Ip Add.), (Port num.) (not the exact text, but something like that)
Resetting the router was enough to get back to normal.
I googled and found out I could have been target of DOS/Syn flood attack.
Any idea how I could prevent that in the future ?
Some info about my home lan :
Modem --> router (SMC Barricade 2804) --> Main rig (via RJ45)
--> Laptop (Wireless, WEP encryption)
There'a a parameter called TCP SYN in the router, set to 30sec. Something to change here ?
Thanks for your help
