I need to connect a winxp to a win98 machine via a parallel cable

Its a long story, but how can I get this to work? I need to put a file from the winxp machine onto the win98 machine, I've connected them with a parallel (printer) cable. There are no other means of connecting them together.

i think you can do it (on the xp computer)by network connections/new connection wizard/setup advanced connection/connect directly to another computer/host/then select port in the drop down but it will be slow

the best way would be to remove the hard drive from the 98 computer and plug it into the xp computers rom cable and than copy the file over
