hello,

i had links to a thread by MickeyMouse about modding the nvidia fx59xx cards. with tips to set the vcore and soldering points. there was a ground point on the card to solder too instead of using a molex from the psu.

i've tried for hours to search all threads started by MM and i can't find it? please help, i have my multimeter, 15w iron, glue gun and courage ready to go.

i did find this link http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=42317&highlight=5900+volt

but it doesnt have the ground solder points on the card or how to properly set the vcore while running a 3d application.

thanks and sorry for taking up space but i want to do these v-mods.

thanks again kunaak,

right now i have my radios shack trimmer/potentiometer #271-343

i hooked it up to a cdrom cable an connector. i set this trimmer to 5k ohms with the first 2 legs closest to the adjustment knob(middle leg and leg next to knob). when i check the ohms resistance with the leg next to the adjustment knob and the leg farthest away, i get 9.8 ohms???

which legs do i use?

also, does anybody know what voltages to set on the vddr and vgpu on good aircooling, and how much i can bump the voltages on decent watercooling?

thanks again kunaak :)

after several days of research and pm'ing everybody and their mama, here's a link - http://www.xtremeresources.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18766&page=3&pp=15&highlight=5900

if someone in the future decides to v-mod this card hopefully it will help them.
