Help!!!!! My Dell at work has tallied up quite a few D2OL completions but for some reason it won't upload? I rebooted and still the same problem. The internet is working, I checked.
I installed the dual version of D2OL and it shows the right node numbers, but just won't upload the results...Now on the stock proggy I can select manual refresh or something like that, but on the dual version (dspy running) it offers no option for uploading...Are these completions going into space?

Have you tried going to system tray --> right click on d2ol icon --> Status --> Manual Upload ? Or is that what you were talking about..?

hmmm, there was no icon in the system tray...This comp is running 2X Peronal XS_D2OL...I only see DSpy...I figured with a stop/restart in the services window that would do it...but nooooooo!!! I figured a reboot would do it...but nooooooooo! I'll bet I have found the cure for every virus by now, and no way to upload the results...arrrrggggghhhhh

Manually stop the service by pressing control alt delete and ending the procces. then start them again.
Doesn't that work?

Alt, ctrl , del and find both of the d2ol services (d2ol and dockwin/gridwin). End them and go to the dir where u installed it (C:/XS_D2OL) and manually open the program. Then the icon will appear in the bottom. Right click on it, go to status, then click manual update. That should solve your problem.

While I get the tray icon, right-clicking gives me greyed-out status

You have to wait mr. Mikee. Give it some time and it shouldn't be greyed out.

Well I did learn something as a result of this thread and looking some more :D (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=79066)
Don't see any references on how to flush results / just uncompleted TASKS (probably WOULD NOT want to do this during a server outage for example :nono: :shakes: )
If all else fails:
1. Save off C:\XS_D2OL\D2OL#\D2OL\resresultsqueue.dat so you don't lose results. (Along w/ node.prp) for each instance that you are reinstalling (as in ALL of them, keep them straight for the reinstall below )
2. Reinstall/register (if you get the dreaded 'Can't register, just keep going, we'll deal w/ that in a moment :D )
3. Copy the node.prp(s) and resultsqueue.dat(s) (COPY, don't move in case there is something else screwy, delete the saved one AFTER THIS WORKS :hehe: ) back in and change the queuesize in general.prp to 2000 (as long as you're there anyway - use notepad :D )
4. Reboot and check if things are working w/ dspy, etc. The resultsqueue.dat(s) should hopefully upload, assuming there is not something else wrong.
5. When all is well - DELETE THE saved resultsqueue.dat(s) (not the ones in the D2OL dirs, the copies. Don't need dups hanging around :nono: :shakes: )
I say this w/ trepidation, thinking that some one will do it and get infected, etc (I assume NO responsibility if that happens IF you DO THE FOLLOWING). Okay now that the disclaimer is out of the way, I'm talking about the fact the sometimes I have to bounce ZoneAlarm do get things going (never had it not UL, usually it's something else, so YMMV  ) I don't worry to much since I have a HW firewall also :D. That may be something to look @
