Okay guys, I have no idea what the heck is up with this but it has been three days of hell with this program and no end in sight. This error is continuous on all three machines. Nothing has changes with my connection whatsoever. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program on all three boxes and in one caseu I reformatted the dedicated box and nothing. I am at wits end. If I waste another day on this, I perm delete and look elsewhere for a project that does not suck up my pc time doing absolutely nothing of value. I simply hate wasting my time.

Same here, restarted yesterday and it connected and worked untill 4 a.m. this morn. Tried restart just now and it would not connect. Seems to be a problem on Dimes side. Will see if they can get it sorted out today.

edit: The time could of been 1 a.m. i checked other rig and that was the time it quit. This would coincide with the time the stats quit updating.

their site is down also, for the moment, nobody has got any output...
So it's worthless of running dimes for the moment, mine are down; when their site's back up, I'm gonna start the Dime client again...

That stinks.. no production for anyone on the team. I imagine it is the same for everyone then? I won't be running it on any of my computers while I am on vacation so my contribution will be shot to crap.

Yep, seems to be back on track now. But just recently then, didn't work 30 minutes ago.

After an exciting weekend of nothing from Dimes.. I can say the weekend was a complete waste. Last weekend with my three machines at home running I was able to crank out around 12K. This weekened after a myriad of issues I am able to contribute squat. I left two of my machines on and I am greeted with a great big zero this morning.

If anyone is a member of another team and would be nice to drop me a line as I would like to contribute to something.. I am done with Dimes. I am uninstalling when I get home from work today. Too much hassle with nothing to show for my efforts.

Hey Demon like I said before D2ol is great to run with Dimes. Dont uninstall from your systems, just leave it there, its not heavy on resources, just make it a secondary project and then concentrate on D2ol (the servers still go down but not as much), or even folding@home. Xtreme has teams for both. If you want any help or advice on either just drop me a PM and I will give you any help or advice you need.

yes as i got involved in d2ol i also thought i would try dimes and look at where this team has gone to.....9th
as with d2ol i started d2ol in january or febuary 05 the team consisted of about 100 members give or take and it was a fun time and i am now 16th on the team
and with d2ol unlike dimes you have a buffer of 2000 canidates and each canidate takes about 5-15mins to compute (depends on the # of instances 1x about 5-7, 2x 6-10, 4x 8-15).
please do think about it. if you want to fine if not that is ok too.

Looks like were all updated now, appears we lost no points during the down time. :)

I probably will take a shot at D2OL. I leave day after tomorrow on a cruise.. vacation break for me. When I get back I will jump into that project. :)
