Hello,

could someone help me out with the thread question. Ive been looking at the threads pertaining to OCZ, Gskill and Mushkin 2x1GB kits. But I havnt found many results showing 300mhz 3-3-3-8 stable; their are also many peeps saying how good these sticks are when running 2.5-3-3-8 timings and running at arnd 260 mhz.

I found this stange because their are many results showing Ballistix's running 280+ albeit with 'looser' timings.

Which has brought me to the reason for my question, are the Ballistixs, diff to the twister type? I have found 2x1GB Ballistixs for sale in the UK at a price which I found very cheap, so I was wondering is their anything up with the Ballistix.

187 pounds for Crucial 1x2GB Ballistix (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_This_Week_Only_25.html#aMY_2d066_ 2dCR)

You mean the difference between Ballistix and Ballistix Tracer?

To answer your question, it was once thought that the Tracer's had a more strict binning process due to the overall higher oc results people were achieving with them. However, in recent months it's been shown to be the opposite, so many have retracted this theory.

2x1GB Ballistix rocks your socks. Best 2GB set in existence. Check out my database stickied at the top.

Just to add Mong that our mutual friend tass will soon be buying G.Skill FF series so I will make sure I add those to my system and see how well 2GB run

While we are on the subject does anybody have 2GB G.Skill FF series runniing on their system?

Yes I checked out the database thread ;)

Just found it strange tht people were so excited abt the OCZ, Gskill and Mushkin 2x1GB kits, i thought I was missing something as the Ballistix sure do trash the competition.

and yeah i meant 'Tracer's', wasnt sure abt Twister but typed 'ballistix twister' in google and got a hit so thought tht was right

:p:
