hmmm....i was vmodding a 9800pro...and i burned the solder pad for the vGPU mod off....it wont boot now....is there a way to fix this?

I read somewhere a long time ago a guy reporting a problem exactly like yours. I don't remember exatcly what he did but he got the board running again, I Will try to find the thread for you m8.

Depends on what solder pad and where it is, there are various ways of correcting small disasters an old favourite of mine is conductive glue... I have also used lead rubbing, gold shavings and various other tricks... please post a piccy and we can make some recommendations...

oh yea, there are often two points you can solder to, right? just do it on the other one

You still need to connect that leg agian. Splice into the trace that goes to that pad and connect the wire to the leg.

IIRC the pad you solder to on the 9800 has an outer layer trace coming out of it that's easy to get to. You can either take sand paper or a knife and slowly grind down untill you expose the copper.

I'm certian this is fixable from your description.
