as the title says, i often find multiple defrags on a drive one after the other helps, but its a pain having to keep coming back and running another defrag after the 1st has finished.

Is there a program or technique to loop the defrag on a drive?

A couple fragmented files will not hamper performance at all. Just forget about it. Defraging is only necessary in extreme cases anyway.

One way to do it is get the real version of Win Defrag software... Executive Diskeeper Pro. You can set a schedule, I have mine run every 72 hours. Or you can set a "smart" scheduel, and it defrags whenever it needs to be done.

He who says defragging is not necessary does not mess with large video files or nearly full disks.

Another option is to run windoze defrag using Scheduled Tasks... run it at a certain time, then again an hour later or so.

Good luck!
