I bought my vac pump second hand, used it a few times and then remembered that the oil inside picks up the moisture and it should be changed very regularly.

So I popped of to my hvac shop and got some new oil and I refilled it with clean oil. I thought the oil inside is supposed to have a brownish color just to find the new oil is transparrent. It was quite a shocker to think I used it like that to evacuate my vapo a few times...

Heres a pic:

Dirty oil!

Hi, vac oil colour is very much dependant on who's oil you use.
Some oils are pretty much clear and others are the colour of fresh engine oil (brown) from new.

Moisture in vac oil will turn it milky white usually.

Spent plenty of time trying to evacuate my water loops to make plenty of that stuff... hehe
