OK....so I'm just about ready to order a set of the 2GB Ballistix, and I know they run very hot, so I'd like to get a fan on them. My question is, what are folks using to actually mount the fan over the RAM area? I suppose I could cut a hole in my case, but that may not work out if I get a different mobo in the future. In fact, I thought side fans could even disrupt proper airflow.

Are there any aftermarket RAM coolers worth a damn? I can't seem to find any on New Egg...which seemed odd.

If anyone could post some pics of how they did their mountings, or perhaps even some suggestions, I would be much obliged.

Somehow, I am sensing cable ties and a trip or 2 to Home Depot...hehe :D

Thanks!

lots of people use zip ties, my personal favorite way is to put some bolts in the mounting holes around the ram. on alot of boards i notice that that are 80mm apart, makes it easy to mount two 80mm fans over the area... zip ties are alot more convenient though.
