View Full Version : Vapochill compressor control?

Does anyone know the resistance needed to control the bd35F compressor used in Vapochill setups? My Classic uses, I think, a 1475 ohm resistor for some unknown RPM. I'm curious if I could find a variable resistor/dial to adjust compressor speed. Please excuse my lack of proper electronic terminology.

You'll need an inverter to vary the speed. I actually got to work on a custom server that used an inverter to control the compressor; it's really neat.

Ok, found the specs on what resistors are needed to control the compressor.

You can't use resistors. Compressor power is determined mainly by frequency, not voltage.

You know that the bd35f is a DC compressor, don't you?

someone's using phase change on a server? nuts
