Hello
I am working in waterchiller and I have a problem with the isulation of waterblock... I read that the MCW6000 is easier to isulate and I like to see your examples :D

I would probably put a second layer over the holddown to be sure.
Also remember that this will increase the clamping pressure as you have lifted the holdown away from the block a little, so be carefull.
What sort of water/liquid temps are you expecting
how thick is that insulation?

Thats not enough insulation for -25c. I'd go at least another layer or ~3/4" everywhere.

that's a nice looking case, custom built? You could just do a couple test runs and see how the insulation works

nvm i searched and didn't know this was in the chilled liquid cooling. sorry bout that. i figured it was in the watercooling section.

chikitano What thickness did you go with on your swiftech block? Right now I have 1/4" of armaflex on my water block. I expext to see temps of -25 to -30 degree C.

I use 1/4" personally on an MCW6002 at -35C. Works like a charm.

My chiller maxi that reaches they are -20 and until now it works perfect...I believe that with 1/4 it worked well
