Did this company go out of business? I can't find their web site. Frozen CPU no longer has their TEC products listed.

Site is down for me as well.
It would be a shame if they stopped trading, does anybody know anything?

Per Frozen CPU, Wintsch Labs went out of business. Their TEC products are no longer available.
Do you know of any other water block/coldplate combination that can accommodate a 62mm square peltier?

Nope, nobody im aware of ever made a block to take anything bigger than a 50mm^2 pelt.
Which is a bugger for those of us who want to use bigger ones.

That's no good. I am glad my Web is working like a charm now. I just got a new TEC module from Devin and my idle temps can go as low as -21c with loaded right at 0.

Outstanding CPU temperature results. Your CPU heat load alone must be ~150W.
Can you provide some details?
1. Vcore setting @ 2.9G
2. Internal case maximum temperature under extended load conditions
3. TEC voltage and corresponding current draw
4. Maximum coolant temperature under extended load conditions
5. Maximum (warmest) coldplate temperature under extended load conditions
6. Prime 95 settings used to create CPU load condition and duration of run
7. Were all case panels installed for above readings
8. Was 0C CPU temperature reading quoted under maximum extended load conditions
9. Image and specs for pump or a website link
Are your block force setting springs tightened down beyond total compression?
You mentioned that you just received your CPU TEC from Devin. Is he still in business?

Have you got a pic of it fitted?
Which TEC is that and PSU?

Only 62mm blocks or bigger are now DIY. Sorry guys but if you do have designs you may want to pm overconfidence about maybe getting them made.

1. 1.7v at 2.9ghz--the mobo speaker did long beeps in 3d appz- weird, eh? not primeable for over 5 minutes at this setting no matter what voltage. Same with 2800mhz
2. Not even watching ambient temps--the pwmic gets kinda hot about 52c with the fans churning....69c with the fans on low.(wont let that happen again)
3. TEC voltage about 21dc---as low as my psu will adjust to
4. My h2o inline temp sensor leaked from dtek...need a new one. Any suggestions?
5. Not even watching coldplate temps either..just the core.
6. I'm using smallffts right now to test my cpu overclock as my good ram is RMAd-sometimes I use Stress Prime 2004-but not on the screen shot below...those temps are reached with Prime95 and Folding@Home
7. One panel was off but it is behind the mobo.
8. Yep about 9 hours with each core at 100%
9. Iwaki pump-Japanese Motor
They aren't totally tight...but right at it. I usually tighten the snot out of them, but not this time.
They don't seem to be in business. I ordered the replacement TEC 2 months ago. I tried e-mailing them to let them know the good news but the e-mail came back and their site is down. OH btw: I have very well lapped wintsch spider for NV 6800 series GPUs 437w TEC.
I haven't even used them. I went for 7800GTXs instead of the 6800.

Before-------and-------After
I should have updated my sig...i'm not using an x2 4800---it is now a 4400 sorry.
Here is a screen of last nights prime+folding temp history:

BTW the high cpu temp is with the rad fans almost off all night long
Right now fully loaded temps are at -4c :woot: with fans on high again.
And finally here is a picture of the case...

I'm not sure if having the right side panel off will really affect temps. Just haven't got around to putting it back on.
EDIT: Phew that wasn't easy to type while feeding a newborn. :p:

A very nice setup there! :D
Perhaps a home made inline sensor would be good? Drill a small hole in the tube, push a small probe in, then epoxy all around it...

Mayhaps, but time is not really to available now that we have a newborn and I work 40+hrs a week.
EDIT: To be honest I don't even have my digidoc turned on. When I took the mobo out last time I never even replaced any sensors. MBM5 with soundx98's plugin reads so many temps I don't need it. Knowing water temp was real nice though.
Another thought: If I have it neoprened properly I shouldn't have to worry about ice should I? I really would like to see once just how low it will go at idle.

Nice setup, though I liked the rev1 dominators better. And nice pink case with the sexy fan grills.

Never had a rev1. This is my first attempt at anything but air cooling.

9. Iwaki pump-Japanese Motor
What is the pump model designation and what voltage does it operate at?
What was the lowest/highest grit sandpaper used to lap the block?
ElDuderino
11-05-2005, 08:43 AM
Lowest 400...really use it a while to get the surface as flat as possible then 800, 1000, 1500....2k if you want.
Iwaki MD-20R...should be 110v running off a relay with EMI filtering. My PSU and my pump run off the same relay.
http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/2093/relay8ds.th.jpg (http://img67.imageshack.us/my.php?image=relay8ds.jpg)http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/16/relay1qw.th.jpg (http://img67.imageshack.us/my.php?image=relay1qw.jpg)
Anyone need one? It comes with a standard socket or the EMI filtering socket...I use it of course. I bought two thinking I would be TECing my GPUs also.

That's a big jump from an air cooled rig! Definitely a fan
Does that molex socket sense when the PSU is turned on, which then activates the relay?

FrozenCPU still has the parts listed, though they're out of stock. AFAIK WL is out of business, which makes me sad. We need big arse TEC blocks (though 200 bucks is stupidly expensive)

Don't worry. I'm working out some tec block designs... For 70mm tec's even...
I just gotta find some 70mm tec's...

how about 80x80mm? 4x 172watt :)

I think at that point, ur cold plate is way to big. 70mm is already freaking huge.

Sorry for the delay. I've been so busy disassembling the business.
Yes we are offering tech support for our customers. There is still some remaining inventory as well. e-mail is "wintschlabs" 'at' {cox} [dot] (net). We are and will be supplying the community with the 437watt peltier devices. I beleive our influence from now on will be more in the background than in the foreground. Thanks to all our customers for their support. We're still here for them if they need.
If anybody is interested in manufacturing some of our designs then please let me know.
